The Selection Process at Sainath Education Trust takes into account the following:
Previous Academic Record. Candidates must have a high scholastic record—better than 60% throughout (X, XII and graduation).
Work experience, if any. Candidates with full-time work experience (minimum one year) after graduation would be given preference.
A high score in an All India Aptitude Test – again, based on trends for 2008, candidates seeking admission for the batch of 2009 are expected to have a minimum score of 80th percentile or better in CAT/XAT/MAT or a score of 550 in GMAT. Within this group, candidates who have a high score in language / communication would be given preference.
Performance in the Sainath Education Trust
Aptitude Test. The Test is designed on the pattern of GMAT, has 40 questions and is of 50 minutes’ duration.
Performance in an Oral Presentation to be made by applicants (3 minutes maximum) – The Presentation would be on a topic given on the spot and with a few minutes (not more than five minutes) being available for preparation. The presentation would be evaluated for content & relevance, clarity in communication, and general bearing & body language.
An assessment of the candidate’s overall aptitude for pursuing a Postgraduate Program in Management - to be assessed by the institution through a
Personal Interview [Note: only candidates short-listed on the basis of criteria (a) – (e) above would be interviewed].
